If ever there was a good excuse to set my alarm for 3:30am, this would be it. Setting of in pitch black, two friends and I made the steep and difficult journey up Mount Amos in the Freycinet National Park.
By torchlight we scrambled over boulders on hands and knees, racing against the rising sun. It was all worth it for the view we were treated to upon reaching the summit.
As the sun rose over a sky dashed with pink and purple, Wineglass Bay stretched out in front of us. The beautiful water had yet to be kissed by the sun, but was already shimmering a vibrant shade of turquoise.
This stitched panorama covers almost 180 degrees of view, sweeping your eye down the valley in front of us and across the bay into the rising sun.
